I'm Erin Kraft, a Chicago-based freelance director and recent graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University's MFA Directing Program.
I'm a stealth-bomber of a director. I create humane, surprising productions filled with complex characters and sharp turns. I'm fascinated by people in community, and how we cause and heal each other's wounds.
Before moving to Chicago, I was on the Artistic Staff at the Seattle Repertory Theatre. While at the Rep, I produced the inaugural Writers Group Showcase and the relaunch of the New Play Festival.
I love new plays, ensemble plays, "problem" plays, unexpected laughing, and creating entire universes out of almost nothing.
